Next, we venture to the iconic Volcanoes National Park, home to the majestic mountain gorillas. Here, you’ll step into the world of these gentle giants and witness firsthand the incredible conservation efforts that have made Rwanda a global leader in wildlife preservation.
During our stay, we’ll also visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, a world-class center dedicated to gorilla research, conservation, and education. Explore the inspiring work being done to protect these incredible creatures and their habitat.
Finally, we’ll round off our journey with an enriching visit to the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, where you’ll experience the vibrant traditions of Rwanda. Transfer to Nyungwe National Park

- 0800: Prepare for a transfer to Nyungwe Forests.
- 1100: Visit the King’s Palace.
- 1100: Estimated time to arrive at Nyungwe forests.
- 1300: Take on lunch at the Strafford resultant.
- 1430: Visit the Ethnographic Museum.
- 1700: Estimated time to arrive at the lodge.
- 1800: Overnight and dinner at the Lodge.
Chimpanzee trekking & Canopy walk.
Day Itinerary
- 0500: Begin the day with a morning breakfast.
- 0530: Prepare for transfers to Park headquarters for Chimpanzee trek briefing.
- 0530: Start the Chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe forests.
- 1230: Estimated time to return from the jungle.
- 1330: Lunch at the Lodge and entire day relaxing and winding at the Lodge.
- 1500: Take on a Canopy Walk experience
- 1800: Overnight and dinner at the Lodge.
Isumo Waterfall Visit and Transfer to Kibuye for sunset cruise

Akagera National Park
Day Itinerary
- 0700: Begin the day with a morning breakfast.
- 0800: Transfer to Akagera National Park to the Northern gate.
- 1030: Arrival at the Akagera National Park. North gate-optional for luxury. Eastern gate optional for mid-range.
- 1100: Get into the Akagera National Park.
- 1200: Arrival at the lodge and check-in.
- 1300: Lunch and afternoon activities by the lodge.
- 1800: Dinner and overnight stay at the Lodge.
Morning Game Drive, and afternoon boat trip.

- 0700: Morning game drivein Akagera National Park and other day’s activities.
- 1400: Boat safari in Akageraon Lake Rwanyakazinga.
